Ken Nice, the principal of Nice Studios was trained in architecture,
two and three dimensional fine art and construction and has worked
as an illustration artist for Disney Studios. Ken has worked on a
wide variety of projects that have included illustrations of large
areas of cities, shooping centers, theme parks, commercial developments,
residential developments and individual homes. These have included
local and international projects that have manifested, in a well-considered
manner, a variety of different cultures throughout various countries.
Although perhaps considered in the industry as a specialist with
aerial perspectives, Ken is conversant with a wide range of eye level
to bird's eye views and styles that can include a great deal of detail
or that can be very quick, expressive sketches.
One technique that Ken's clients have found effective for aeial views
is a pen and ink drawing that includes a high level of fine detailing.
Colour is added using pencil crayon, markers or watercolour or a combination
of any of the three media. Colour can range from soft and sublt to
richer and more intense.
